Rapid coordinated action from the President, Congress, and state and local governments is needed to prevent and end the unnecessary tragedy of child homelessness in America. We know what must be done to prevent and end child homelessness. Now, we mobilize the public and political will necessary for action. We must adopt comprehensive policies that include adequate housing, services, and supports to address family income, employment, education, health, nutrition, and violence. The Report Card’s short and long-term policy recommendations target these areas, and if implemented, will go a long way towards preventing and ending child homelessness in America.
