Webinar Series: Integrating Services for Survivors of Domestic Violence

In partnership with the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) at the U.S. Department of Justice, The National Center developed a toolkit about integrating domestic violence and homeless service systems: Closing the Gap: Integrating Services for Survivors of Domestic Violence Experiencing Homelessness - A Toolkit for Transitional Housing Programs. On May 9 and 23, The National Center hosted two webinars to explore practical strategies that providers can apply to support integration and to highlight programs across the country that are integrating domestic violence and homeless services. The National Center to Host Congressional Briefing on Homelessness

The National Center on Family Homelessness is hosting a briefing with the Congressional Caucus on Homelessness and Senator Patty Murray: Homelessness in America: Experiences & Solutions in the 113th Congress. The briefing will be held on Wednesday, May 22, from 11 AM - 12 PM at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center's Congressional Meeting Room North. The briefing will feature:

  • Representatives Eddie Bernice Johnson and Alcee Hastings, Caucus Co-Chairs;

  • Senator Patty Murray;

  • Dr. Carmela DeCandia, Director of The National Center on Family Homelessness;

  • Brian Carome, Executive Director of Street Sense; and

  • Maria Foscarinis, Founder and Executive Director of The National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty.

Young Children Without Homes National Conference 2013

Join The National Center on May 20-21 in Cambridge, MA, for the 2013 Young Children Without Homes National Conference sponsored by Horizons for Homeless Children.
